Releasing old and creating new beliefs is a process. A belief is simply a thought you keep thinking. Some thoughts are ingrained into our minds at an early age from parents and teachers.. However, they don’t necessarily serve you or benefit you.
Releasing old, outdated beliefs is like peeling an onion. One layer at a time, you eventually get to the foundation of your core beliefs. Once your true core beliefs are revealed to you, that’s when the “ah ha” moments occur. You begin to see how you created certain experiences in life; wanted and unwanted.
The beautiful thing is that now you can eliminate the unwanted experiences by choosing and creating new beliefs. This takes time, so you might as well be patient and trust the Universe (God) to do what’s best for you. Every spiritual seeker knows this to some extent.
When the time is right and when you are ready, each layer of unwanted belief that is removed and replaced with a new one, will bring deep knowledge to you. As we gently receive the revelation of clarity and understanding, in each moment we are drawn closer and closer to our authentic self.
The nearer we draw the more we expand. It is the most delicious and blissful experience of spiritual development. This is because when we release old beliefs we simultaneously allow new beliefs that align with our core vibration; our real self.
A Belief is Just a Thought You Keep Thinking
Often we are not aware of where a belief began or how we come to choose our beliefs. Some beliefs we embrace over time through such means as studying, doing research or through consistent rehearsal or practice of information we deliberately choose to remember. However, other beliefs attach themselves to us very subtly.
As we think a thought over and over, regardless of whether it is what we want, eventually it becomes a belief. For example, if every time you look in the mirror, you tell yourself that you’re fat, eventually you come to believe you are fat and usually it is manifested in some physical expression. I am not saying that the only way to become fat is to think it, but I am saying we draw to us each experience by our attention to it. We create our own reality.
Deliberately Creating New Beliefs for a New Life
Releasing old beliefs is as simple as choosing new beliefs to replace them. This can only happen over time as you deliberately think and feel a new way. Often I find it easier to stay positive by choosing emotions that feel really good. That’s not to say, you will never have moments of resistance or challenges in life, but it’s so much easier when you know how to immediately ground yourself and maintain your center.
Allowing the energy to flow in the direction of your wants and desires is the key to manifesting your dreams. Focusing attention on things that feel good in essence helps to maintain higher vibrations.When we believe we are worthy of good things, it becomes a matter of self love and connection to our higher self. Practice then becomes easier as it becomes an expression of self love. Eventually, the new better feeling thoughts will become new and improved beliefs.

Often this is hard for us to believe because we simply don’t want to believe that we are creating the unwanted things in our lives. However, if you look deep enough at your core beliefs, you might be amazed at how they align so closely with what you are experiencing in your life.
